Planet Robobop exhibition

Animation experiment part video installation of Kingston Art Planet Robobop exhibition 2019
Making kids drawing come alive

This exhibition brings together the futuristic and imaginary worlds of local Kingston community members, who were asked to envision the area in 120 years from now. That is, in the year 2149. Participants identified areas of hope, concern, and empowerment, demonstrating how we as individuals and a community can affect the future.

Featuring work by Robert Scholten and the local community participants during the Planet Robobop Workshops, this immersive exhibition will feature creative writing and drawing, which has been transformed into large-scale posters, graphics, and zines for exhibition.

Robert Scholten is an artist, illustrator, muralist, and designer. His artistic style fuses a postmodern pop aesthetic with street art, comics with expressionism; mixing vibrant colours, rich textures and a range of imagery in the process.
